The Estate

A country club heart,
a wedding venue soul.

Thornbury began in 1971 as a private club for Licking County families, and it still is — our members golf the back nine every weekend. But our gardens, ballroom, and stone chapel have quietly become one of Central Ohio's most requested wedding settings, drawing couples from Columbus, Westerville, and beyond who want manicured grounds without the hotel-ballroom feel.

Every event is guided by one planner from first walkthrough to last dance, our culinary team sources from Licking County farms, and the grounds are tended by the same crew that keeps the greens tournament-ready.

We got married on the same lawn my parents held their anniversary party on. Thornbury feels like it already knows your family.

Kind Words

From couples & hosts.

"Our coordinator Meg made the entire day effortless. Guests are still asking me how we found a place that felt like a country club and a botanical garden at once."

"It rained the morning of our ceremony. By 3pm the clear-span tent was up, the garden was dried and re-set, and nobody would have guessed. That's when I knew we'd chosen right."
